He also proposed three justifications of civil disobedience. His theory has become the main theory of civil disobedience. In April, 2003, severe acute respiratory syndrome infected so many people in Taipei City Hoping Hospital. Then the government decided to close the hospital and commanded all the doctors, nurses and patients who were in the hospital to stay in it. On April 24th , some nurses in Hoping Hospital rushed out the cordon of the hospital to protest against the command of government. After this event, some scholars believed this event to be a civil disobedience movement. They also believed this event fitted John Rawls’ three justifications of civil disobedience. We thought their opinions are worthy of studying, so we used John Rawls’ definition and justifications of civil disobedience to check this event. And we commented on the scholars opinions. At last, we tried to give our opinions to John Rawls’ theory of civil disobedience. Keywords: John Rawls, civil disobedience, justification, Hoping Hospital, severe acute respiratory syndrome 陳張培倫 2010 學位論文 ; thesis 79 zh-TW
