The research data was collected by a self-designed questionnaire that was distributed to all of the students at the school. There were totally 1,441 copies of questionnaire sent out and with 1,236 valid returns at response rate of 85.77%. The following statistical methods were adopted to analyze data, including descriptive statistics, Pearson’s product-moment correlation, and the multiple stepwise regression analysis, etc. The results of the study indicated that the level of overall elements affecting the classroom management of the school was above average, besides, the element of environment and discipline management had the highest scores. Currently, the effectiveness of classroom management of the school manifested the best on the classroom atmosphere. Among background variables, teachers’ gender showed significant differences on the effectiveness of classroom management, additionally, teaching seniority showed significant correlation on the environment and learning performance. With respect to the background variables of the classroom, students’ gender showed significant differences in the effectiveness of classroom management. Furthermore, there was a significant positive correlation between the elements affecting the classroom management and the effectiveness of classroom management, among which the elements of environment and discipline management could highly predict the effectiveness of classroom management. According to the findings, it is suggested that teachers should take the initiative to care about their students, and make the proper use of the period of class meeting to guide students deliberating upon how to deal with the problems of the students’ discipline. Particularly, teachers should develop a professional community, as well as encourage teachers to use multimedia equipment in teaching activities in order to increase the diversity of instruction. Besides, to promote the overall effectiveness of classroom management, teachers should strengthen the environment and discipline management. Furthermore, it is suggested that school should enhance the teachers’ knowledge and ability of classroom management, especially for male teacher. The school also can construct a mentoring program to assist beginning or younger teachers to well adapt to the school environment and to improve their ability of classroom management. Finally, the Bureau of Education should strengthen student teachers’ knowledge and ability of classroom management and increase the practice time as classroom advisors. Moreover, the Bureau of Education should provide workshops regarding the methods and skills of classroom management and set up well-equipped learning environments in all schools for the purpose of increasing the efficacy of media teaching.
