Methods: Twenty female heroin abusers who were selected from Tainan Detention Center, and randomly assigned into the experiment and control group. The experimental group received two-hour SIT session weekly for six weeks and the control group received no treatment. All subjects were administered by the Scale of Negative Mood Regulation, including cognition behavior and mood response. After the SIT, those subjects in experimental group accepted individual interview. Results: 1. The subjects in the experimental group who had a lower negative mood regulation in the pretest, they had significant improvement their negative mood regulation after the treatment. 2. Subjects in experimental group expressed significant improvement in their negative mood regulation efficacy.
