Summary:碩士 === 玄奘大學 === 成人教育與人力發展學系碩士班 === 98 === This study mainly focused on the relationship between knowledge about aging and life satisfaction. In order to achieve objectives of the research mentioned above, questionnaire survey method was adopted. “The Learners’ knowledge about aging and life satisfaction scale” formulated by the researcher was used in the study. The participants were the learners from the spring classes of 2010 in the community colleges in Miaoli County. 690 valid questionnaires were collected. This study uses descriptive statistics, t-test, one-way analysis of variance and Pearson product-moment correlation to investigate the relationship between knowledge about aging and life satisfaction. The results are as follows. 1. Generally speaking, the learners’ level of knowledge about aging is above average. 2. Generally speaking, the learners’ level of life satisfaction is above average. 3. The older learners know more about objective knowledge about aging than the younger. 4. The married learners know more about objective knowledge about aging than the single. 5. For life satisfaction, there are significant differences among the learners’ sex, age, marriage status and health conditions. 6. The learners’ knowledge about aging is related to life satisfaction. 7. The learners with different levels of knowledge about aging have different life satisfaction. The learners with “high-level” have more satisfaction than those with “middle-level” and “low-level”. Suggestions are made according to the results shown above for the government, the community colleges in Miaoli County, the learners, and the future studies.
