Description
Summary:碩士 === 義守大學 === 財務金融學系碩士班 === 98 === This study is based on the financial information from the Banking Bureau of the Financial Supervisory Commission, Executive Yuan. First, the data was analyzed to understand the correlation between cash card issuing banks and bad debt increase in Taiwan. Then, using a collection of macroeconomic variables, a regression model was built. This study was based on factors affecting the issuance of cash cards by modifying the regression model. The monthly data was collected from May 2004 to December 2009. The study arrives at two conclusions. First, within macroeconomic variables, the findings show a negative relationship between volume of circulation and misery index, and gross national product and unemployment rate. Second, within microeconomic variables, a negative relationship between volume of circulation and market share is found. This study shows that the major cause of cash card storm is overdue by the cash card model. In fact, the influences of cash card issuers’ operations include several dimensions. Therefore, the authorities should not just focus on the delinquency ratio control. The results also can be served as useful suggestions for the authorities, the financial industry and further research.
