UL76 is known to induce chromosomes aberrations. Previously, Dr. Wang’s group has shown that UL76 interacts with S5a, a subunit of the ubiquitin-proteasome system (UPS) in a yeast two-hybrid CytoTrap screen. In order to further investigate the interaction of UL76 and S5a, we performed multiple protein-protein interaction assays. Here we demonstrated that the UL76 interacts with full-length S5a by the yeast two-hybrid system. Furthermore, immunofluorescence cell staining showed that UL76 appears to localize with S5a in the nucleus. From co-immunoprecipitation assay, we showed that UL76 interacts with S5a. Taken together, we propose that UL76 interacts with S5a might represent a novel strategy to modulate the HCMV-infected cells. Shang-Kwei Wang 王雙桂 2010 學位論文 ; thesis 49 zh-TW |
