The SCADA system grasps the status of operating equipment, and helps personnel to determine the failures of the system quickly. It has become an indispensable tool for the power system. A domestic large-scale consistent cogeneration(Combined heat and power, CHP)factory has been selected for the study of this thesis. The SCADA and protective scheme including the over current relay, the directional over current relay and transformer differential protection relay with proper settings have been applied to enhance the system stability. By this manner, the industrial power system can be isolated from the utility system in time to prevent the system collapse due to tripping of cogeneration units. The protective coordination should be redesigned by the records of SCADA. The computer simulation of the industrial power system has verified the effectiveness of the proposed protective strategy.
