In order to meet the above conditions to improve production efficiency, shorten delivery, high cut wage costs and quality requirements and other factors, flexible manufacturing system is widely used in manufacturing industries. In recent years, advances in information technology, networking and artificial intelligence led to the rapid development of information technology in the relevant manufacturing system to create an agent-based systems or intelligent manufacturing system advocated by many scholars and is widely discussion. As these systems become increasingly large, the traditional manufacturing systems emerge many problems, therefore an agent-based methods were introduced in manufacturing systems, mainly based on on-site real-time information to reach the region of production decisions in a timely manner. In this paper, flexible manufacturing cell for the distance to develop an intelligent agent system, using uniform molding language (Unified Modeling Language, UML) for system analysis and planning, agent development for system planning and communication process. Developed using JAVA programming language and its related user interface functions, and integrate OpenGL display technology for virtual processing element of the construction of flexible manufacturing. In this study, flexible agent technology integrated processing unit of the remote processing equipment, while improving the traditional master-slave network architecture. In a distributed cross-platform network environment, the communication between agents and agents through KQML and FIPA-ACL data and information transfer, in order to achieve distributed network control distance. There is also flexibility to build a virtual processing unit the processing equipment,and when users use the system, the virtual flexible manufacturing and processing units can achieve the same machine with the real dynamic of the situation.
