| Summary: | 碩士 === 嶺東科技大學 === 視覺傳達設計研究所 === 98 === Space is the stage for the objects. Symbiosis is the circulation and the extension of life. Fixed positions or status in space are substantial presentation for people in a society. The ulti-dimensions of the space for ethnic groups remind us that we should think about the real and unreal spaces with critical, and open attitude. On the critical moment of global warming, humans must have respect for different ethnic people who live in the same space. Spatial symbiosis which includes the issues from the environment to the standpoint of minorities relates to the harmony of the whole creations in that same space. This thesis is a cultural study based on the theories of space, Post-colonialism, Hybridity and The Third Space Identity.
There are three points in this thesis:
1. Discussing the meaning of symbiosis and ethnic people in the space.
2. Extend the reflection and the criticism of Taiwan’s self-Consciousness by the theory of symbiosis.
3. Discussing the importance of indigenous culture identity on the critical moment of global warming, and understand how the designers use cultural elements to create by interviewing with the designer who named Apex Lin and his work “My homeland”.
I will take the theories of living with nature and living with culture to create a poster and express my thought by using cultural elements and the concept of symbiosis in terms of visual language. In sum, we have to understand and analyze the history of the cultures before using cultural elements to create, so that we can use cultural contexts, associations and stories to create. I hope this thesis can provide consultations and the thoughts of social education.
Now, while the liberty and the economy are well developed in Taiwan, the creative products made in Taiwan should be paid more attention. Moreover, we have to find a way to find out the specials and the resources of the culture in Taiwan. As the following are 2 conclusions for this thesis:
1. Taiwan should establish the confidence and the identification for the designs.
2. The most important thing is how to turn Taiwan local culture into sustainable development.
3. Designers to use cultural elements of cultural symbiosis wake-up emotions, the Department of combining "cultural context", "Lenovo shape" and "emotional space" thinking of structure 3. Wake-up emotions through culture, imagery, link with the situation. Today, Taiwan's design culture priority, how to strengthen Taiwan's local culture play into the thinking system of sustainable development of the rebuild. Look through the "space symbiosis" research and creative reference to the direction of those who provide inspiration and education.
