Description
Summary:碩士 === 立德大學 === 國際企業管理研究所 === 98 === ABSTRACT In light of the fact that small and mid-sized enterprises (SMBs) are leaning toward conservatism after the financial storm, this study aims to study the factors that affect the appaoval of business loans from commercial banks in Taiwan. With 243 valid samples collected from a large commercial bank, the results from hierarchical regression indicated the following: 1. The factors affecting SMEs’ loan approval include loan balance, collateral, estimated value of collateral, and auditing reports. 2. While entering all variables in a multiple regression, estimated value of collateral, auditing reports and operation conditions yielded significant relationships in prediting loan approval. Conclusions and recommendations were also discussed based on the results.
