Ping Ying Hsieh is the famous writer, who raised in the May Fourth Movement. She has countless literary creation. From the age of 15, she issued first effort《Chi Na De In Shon》, her compositions include prose, novel, biography, children''s literature, Buddhism literature, letter, and treatise scope. 《Lu Ping j jan》 make her famous and translate to various editions, like English, Japanese, Germany, French, Spanish, Portuguese, and many other languages. 《Lu Ping j jan》also reprint 25 times. This does affect world of published writers a lot.
My essay research focus on Ping Ying Hsieh’s 6 prose,《Ai Wan Ting》、《Co Shang》、《Shan Ming De Quan Phay》、《Mon Li De Wei Shau》、《Wo De Pha I》、《Ri Tran Gi U》which came out after she coming to Taiwan. From these 6 prose, I collect Ping Ying Hsieh’s thinking of theme, and artistry. Hopefully, Ping Ying Hsieh desired to get her own great appreciation, and position.
My essays divide into 5 chapters. 1st chapter is prolegomenon, which shows my own research motive, scope, and previous achievements. 2nd one shows Ping Ying Hsieh’s biography, and compositions. Details draft in her past experience. To show the effect, and difference in her creation, this chapter also separate into her “growing up”, “pursuing her studies”, “female soldier life”, “marriage”, “Moving to Taiwan”, “Living abroad”. Secondly, I will introduce whole her compositions. 3rd chapter is Ping Ying Hsieh’s theme thinking. After coming back to Taiwan, and transfer to U.S, she issued 6 essays. I summary all meanings of her theme thinking, and analyze in 5 aspects, “appreciate from reading”, “daily life impression”, “express on nostalgia”, “appreciate of whole creation”, “exalt patriotic sentiment” to show her wider creation version, and life emotions. 4th chapter shows her artistry on essays, and probe into her attainment. Her essays artistry likes herself without pomp. “ forthright and plain in language”, “sincere emotions”, “wider subject matter”, “” 4 directions can cover this concept.
5th chapter is conclusion, which summary previous 4 chapters, and provide a suitable appreciation in Ping Ying Hsieh’s essays.
