Description
Summary:碩士 === 銘傳大學 === 教育研究所碩士在職專班 === 98 === The purpose of this study is to understand the influence of the life education on self-concept and life attitude in middle-grade elementary school students. 60 fourth graders recruited from Xing Fu (a pseudonym) elementary school located at Nei Hu district of Taipei city and they participated in 20 instructional experiments of this research. Before and after each instruction, the questionnaires of self-attitude and life attitude were applied to evaluate the participants. Dependant t-test was utilized to analyze the score differences in self-concept and life attitude of the experimental group; whereas one-way ANOVA was processed to examine if there was any significant differences in the post-test scores between experimental and control groups. In addition, the qualitative questionnaires for self-attitude as well as the qualitative questionnaires for life attitude were used to assess participants’ potential qualitative concept transitions. Participants’ thoughts on the courses on life education were investigated by the feedback questionnaire of the courses on life education as well as the unit feedback questionnaire. The results of the study are as follows: First, the courses on life education could influence middle-graders’ self-concept in certain aspects. For instances, their attitudes toward physical body, ability, achievement, personal character, exterior acceptance, self-value system and beliefs. Second, the courses on life education could influence middle-graders’ life attitude in the following aspects; such as initially taking responsibility, sympathy and respect, gratitude and care, and attitude toward death. Finally, middle-graders demonstrate positive feedbacks toward the courses on life education. Based on these results, the author presents some recommendations for future studies and educational instructions.
