Nishida Atsudoshi, a supervisor from a Japanese companies-Toshiba said, “innovation is one of the essential elements of a company’s growth”. But until now, the direct link between the use of innovation and positive company growth has yet to be found. So in this thesis, what we set out to find is how innovation makes a difference to a company. To begin, in the first chapter this paper will thoroughly define the term Innovation, and American company-General Electric, Japanese company-Toshiba and Taiwanese company-Tatung will be used to be case studies. We try to collect the company history from newspapers and magazines, which are relevant to these companies. And most importantly we will find how innovation is important to these three companies. In brief, according to research, the three companies together reached innovation by interaction through sharing technological research. Toshiba and Tatung’s technologies and originations are based on General Electric’s techniques. And in this study, we will also show how innovation varies in different nations.
