In this thesis, we provide a new design of microstrip slot loop antenna with coplanar waveguide feeding which is a simple structure and easy integrated with microwave integrated circuits. The design of the antenna is based on a microstrip slot loop structure. The inner slot has a mid-band performance. Moreover, the outer slot has low-band and high-band performance. Assembling the inner and outer slot loops to form the tri-band antenna, we study and tune the parameters of the antenna by using simulation software package. The antenna is implemented on a FR4 printed circuit board and measured. The simulation and experiment results are compared. The antenna has resonant frequencies at 2.26, 3.45, and 5.44 GHz and bandwidths 13.2 %, 20.2 %, and 6.6 % respectively.
