In an effort to understand the nature of network evolution in recent years, strategy and organization scholars attempt to explain the network evolution from various viewpoints. For instance, Koka et al (2006) focused on environmental "uncertainty" and "resource abundance" to unfold how it affects the network evolution. He compiled a network evolves with the characteristics of evolution and the development of a network evolution model. In this study, we adopted Koka’s model in a empirical testing in Taiwanese TFT-LCD industry. TFT-LCD industry since 1976, after years of development, appropriate empirical network evolution model can be used. The world's TFT-LCD industry, concentrated in South Korea, Japan, Taiwan and the mainland a few countries. Taiwan's TFT-LCD market accounts for the global rate of more than 40% (Topology, 2009); output in 2007 has reached NT 1.75 trillion (IEK, 2008) of the peak; related upstream and downstream supply chain working population, up to 30 million people (Business Times, 2008/12/19). Taiwan's TFT-LCD industry has become a heavyweight in the role of. This study by Koka et al. (2006) network model-based, but also refer to Liu Bainian I (2009), research papers, joined the industry innovation indicators to measure, through interviews with industry experts the way, are TFT-LCD industry in innovation and dynamic evolutionary process, to verify that the network model in TFT-LCD practicality. Empirical results, TFT-LCD industry, the evolution of the network, and Koka et al. (2006) model framework developed by the same; but in the network structure characteristics, industry characteristics due to different results. Innovation network, which industry will increase as the resource abundance, but has improved. Business managers and government agencies can use the results of this study, by the network structure of the control, leading industry innovation network of dynamic evolution.
