Qualitative research method was adopted in this study. Research data was collected through tape-recorded interviews using a semi-structured interview guide. Major results are as followed, A. Outdoor adventure education instructors’ working stress includes six aspects: job characteristics, course leading, administrative work pressure, interpersonal relations, the vision of the field, and instructors’ personality. B. Outdoor adventure education instructors’ coping strategy includes: positive attitude, and management and adaptation. C. Buffer roles of Outdoor adventure education instructors’ work stresses include: a stable support system, nature, passion and belief, experience accumulation, reflective internalization, and a sense of accomplishment and meaning.
