Summary:碩士 === 國立彰化師範大學 === 工業教育與技術學系 === 98 === ABSTRACT The purpose of the research was to investigate the effect of cooperative learning approach on junior high school student’s learning achievement, learning motivation, and classroom atmosphere in learning a quasi-experimental pretest-posttest design. A total of 61 students from two classes of the first year junior high students participated in this research and were divided into two groups by class, as experimental and control respectively. In eight weeks, the experimental group was taught with cooperative learning and, while the control group with the traditional instruction. The instruments used in the research included “achievement test in learning Mathematic”, “learning motivation questionnaire in learning Mathematic”. Statistical techniques such as independent sample t-test, Kolmogorov–Smirnov test and analysis of covariance were used to analyze the collected data. The conclusions of the research were summarized as follows: 1. Students of cooperative learning had significantly better performance than those of traditional approach on the Mathematic Learning Achievement Test of the graphs of linear equation with two variables. 2. Class of cooperative learning is significantly higher than traditional approach in “learning motivation questionnaire” regarding “total score”, “self efficiency ”, “active learning strategy”, “learning involvement”,“performance goal”, “achievement goal”, “learning environment stimulation”.   Based on the findings and results, a list of suggestions were proposed for cooperative learning approach applied in teaching the graphs of linear equation with two variables, and for further studies.
