By this, we can learn that how the two agents of political at ion influence students’ thoughts and movements of national identity. This study mainly adopts the method of documentary analysis to discuss the related documents of national identity and the theories of political socialization. By using participant observation and semi-structured interviews, I choose seven people to be interviewees and divide them into three groups. Each group consists of students, parents and teachers. Then, the data from the interviews is analyzed to answer the questions of this study. The conclusions are listed as below: 1. Sixth graders generally think their own country is Taiwan. They have already known the existence of their own country and can exactly point out the location of their own country. Moreover, they use the first person to view themselves as a member of their own country. 2. The images of national identity of sixth graders are formed by their life experience and the environment they live. What they understand or know about the typical dispositions of the social multitudes is only from the preliminary cognition of the contour of social groups. 3. Sixth graders mostly base their ethnic identity on their birth places or their habitation. They view the ethnic identity from the angle of humanitarianism and have less feeling toward the national identity. 4. In some certain circumstances, sixth graders will subjectively intensify their own national identity and construct foreigners’ cognition of Taiwan by culture. 5. Parents will put emphasis on ethnic identity to construct sixth graders’ national identity. 6. Teachers will stress the political identity to form sixth graders’ national identity. Based on the conclusions, this study provides the useful suggestions and references for the education of national identity of elementary school students and for the way that parents or teachers educate their children. Moreover, the findings contribute to future research. 劉兆隆 2010 學位論文 ; thesis 145 zh-TW
