A total of 1535 students with job experiences from 16 colleges and universities were surveyed through a questionnaire on six dishonesty behaviors. The behaviors of interest were private usage of company resources, falsifying work data, taking credit of other’s work in workplace dishonesty, and cheating, plagiarism, and making false excuse to delaying exam in academic dishonesty. The results of this research study show that there were strong relationship between workplace and academic dishonesty on attitudes, past behaviors, and intentions. Hierarchical regression analyses show that the variables of TPB explained 30% to 42% of the variance, which past behavior further explained about 10% of the variance, and group norms explained about 6%, with no influence from gender and age. Path analysis also demonstrated the effects of past behavior and group norms on attitudes and behavior intentions. In addition, gender differences were significant in all dishonesty behaviors, except making false excuse. Students in private schools had more cheating behaviors and intentions, while public school students had more private usage of company resources. Mei-Hua Chen 陳美華 2010 學位論文 ; thesis 151 en_US
