The purpose of this study is to develop the quantitative methodology of kinematical parameters for the continuous walking and running that raw data be acquired with a high frequency laser distance measurement system. A laser distance measurement system (LDM module 300C, 100Hz) and Acqknowledge version 3.7.2 are used to record and to analyze the women long jump in the 2010 National Athletic Games. The results showed that the indirect estimate of stride length and stride rate during approach running is validity and the qualitative or quantitative information to feedback to athlete or athletic coach is rapidly. Because the pattern of long jump is converted during takeoff phase and has large variation compare to the phase of simple approach running, it affected the judgment of the critical event for kinematical curve. Moreover, it existed individual difference that the participant to regulate the variability in different strategies for every stride. The increasing or decreasing the approaching velocity to perform the movement of speed hurdle did mainly in the strategy of the regulation of stride length.
