碩士 === 國立嘉義大學 === 森林暨自然資源學系研究所 === 98 === The Life History of Percnia longitermen Prout and Pogonopygia nigralbata Warren Chien-Hsing Chen Graduate Institute of Department of Forestry and Natural Resources National Chiayi University Abstract Collecting the female adult in the field by using light attraction of Percnia longitermen Prout and Pogonopygia nigralbata Warren. And putting the female adult in a plastic box until laid eggs. The hatching larvae were fed on Lindera communis Hemsl and Illicium anisatum L., individually until grew up into adults, series observations on the life history were conducted. The results were summarized as follows: The hatching rate of the eggs was 100％. The duration from egg to adult emergence for five instar type, six instar type and averaged over both types of larvae were 59.17±3.67, 65.38±3.61, and 61.35±4.70 days, respectively of Percnia longitermen Prout. The duration from egg to adult emergence for four instar type, five instar type and averaged over both types of larvae were 38.85±1.29, 39.77±0.80, and 39.31±1.17 days, respectively of Pogonopygia nigralbata Warren. The threshold value of head capsule width for larva developed into pupa was above 3.54mm of Percnia longitermen Prout. The threshold value of head capsule width for larva developed into pupa was above 3.88mm of Pogonopygia nigralbata Warren. A linear regression coefficient was existed between the common logarithms of head capsule width of larva and the larval instar stages, this was in agreement with Dyar’s law.
