Summary:碩士 === 國立嘉義大學 === 輔導與諮商學系研究所(Graduate Institute of Counsel === 98 === This research was to study the relationship between high school students’ backgrounds, anxiety traits, problem-solving attitudes, and school life adjustment. The high schools students in Chiayi County and City were the population . The research analyzed all the information by descriptive statistics, t-test, one-way ANOVA, Pearson’s product-moment correlation, and stepwise multiple regression. The main findings of this study were as follows: 1. The school life adjustment of high school senior students was above the average. 2. Female high school students felt more sense of school life adjustment than the male. 3. Grade 1 was greater than grade 2 in the aspect of learning adjustment. 4. The high social-and-economical-status students was greater than the low in the aspect of self acceptance. 5. It had no significant difference to high school students who had different school types. 6. Students’ anxiety traits had negative influence on school life adjustment. 7. Students’ problem solving attitudes had positive influence on school life adjustment. 8. Cognitive Orientation, avoidance orientation and anxiety traits could effectively predict the school life adjustment of high school students.
