Residents’ special life experience continuously changed into various stories of joy and sorrow in MDV. Moreover, since MDV writers, who were born in MDV and were called the second generation of Mainlanders, grew up and were valued by literary circles, the life in MDV has been presented in public, regardless of joy or sorrow. Although these writers did not particularly choose military dependents’ village literature (MDVL) as genre, they kept the eternal record of MDV’s existence by writing down their familiar life experience and deep feelings. Various stories about “gathering” and “separation” have become common topics of literary works since ever. MDV residents left the hometown in mainland China, met in Taiwan and started a new journey of life with “separation” and then “gathering.” After they came to Taiwan, different experience enriched the contents of this topic. This thesis macroscopically explicated different levels of MDVL, including definition, root, relevant researches, and so on. What’s more, through tracking the clues in MDVL, following MDV residents’ footsteps, and exploring multi-dimensions -- concrete, abstract and emotional, the thesis tried to conclude different kinds of “gathering” and “separation.” Also, based on reality, the thesis tried to analyze MDVL’s restriction, prospect and the motivator to carry on. Through these writers’ pens, readers walked through the time tunnel to see MDV residents’ colorful life styles and experienced their difficult process of migration. From wandering in a foreign country to settling down in Taiwan, MDV residents withstood tests over and over again with extraordinary perseverance. Behind “gathering” and “separation” was their rich life experience. While reading, readers knew more about the history as if they lived in the age. 張啟超博士 2010 學位論文 ; thesis 136 zh-TW
