Summary:碩士 === 南華大學 === 幼兒教育學系碩士班 === 98 ===   The purpose of the research was to investigate the situation of kindergarten teachers'' knowledge of using picture books in teaching in Tainan County. The study employed survey method. The self-desigened questionnaires were mailed to 400 kindergarten teachers. A total of 365 valid samples were obtained. The collected data were analyzed via descriptive statistics, t-test , one-way ANOVA, and Scheffe'' method using SPSS 12.0.   The major findings of this study were summarized as follows: 1. The level of kindergarten teachers'' knowledge of using picture books in teaching was higher above average. 2. There was a significant difference of kindergarten teachers'' knowledge of suing picture books in teaching between public kindergarten and private kindergarten. 3. There was a significant differences in the ablility of curriculum designed in different aged kindergarten teachers. 4. There was no significant difference of different years service in kindergarten. 5. Teachers with higher education in the knowledge of using picture books demonstrated significant difference in the overall aspects of the knowledge of teaching. 6. There was no significant difference of knidergarten teachers with different educational background in the knowledge of teaching. 7. Teachers who teach at the age-mixed class got higher scores and did better performance in the knowledge of using picture books in teaching.
