Summary: | 碩士 === 國立高雄海洋科技大學 === 海洋環境工程研究所 === 98 === The catfish (Pterygoplichthys multiradiatus) which high tolerance and dominant alien species of river in Taiwan is a good monitoring ani-mal. In this study, understanding the alien species -catfish can be used monitoring aquatic xenoestrogen in the river. Experimenting on dominant alien species catfish exposure in xenoestrogen-lindane (100 and 1000 ng/L), chlordane (1 and 10 ng/L), bisphenol A (0.5 and 5μg/L), nonylphe-nol (0.5 and 5 μg/L) and estrogen-17β-estradiol (1, 10, 100, 1000 and 10000 ng/L). Taking advantage of this experiment, getting to know the alkali-labile phosphates and sodium dodecyl sulfate polyacrylamide gel electrophoresis which is the best for vitellogenin assay, and making catfish induce vitellogenin and discussion on serviceability of used cat-fish monitoring xenoestrogen in the river. At the same time, using monooxygenase activity assays and glutathione-S-transferase activity as-says to assess toxicity damage of xenoestrogen-lindane, chlordane, bisphenol A and nonylphenol. According the result, catfish have low tox-icity damage, and also can induce vitellogenin. In this study, expect to catefish become a monitoring species of xenoestrogen in the river.
