A QPSK example is illustrated and implemented based on the derivation and analysis. From the Matlab Simulink model, we achieve 100MHz baseband frequency and 200 Mbps throughput assuming 2.5GHz RF carrier modulated with QPSK under WiMAX wireless technology. The RF2D test chip mask layout simulation (post-layout simulation) also shows the same performance. We prove that with the derived specification, the RF2D dramatically saves circuit area and power consumption since no need of ADC, DSP, neither down converter to perform functions of the whole wireless receiver. Therefore, the RF2D conversion is proved achieving the ultimate objective of software defined radio (SDR). Keywords: Direct RF to Digital Conversion, Software Defined Radio, Digital Modulation and Demodulation, WiMAX, Wireless Receiver. Chao-Lieh Chen 陳朝烈 2010 學位論文 ; thesis 62 zh-TW
