Summary:碩士 === 國立高雄第一科技大學 === 運籌管理所 === 98 === This study addresses the maritime liner shipping network design problem.The typical hub-and-spoke network model is modified to represent the trunk line and feeder system in maritime transportation. The model aims to determine the number hub ports, the hub locations, the transport paths, and the path flows.Since the demand usually varies due to seasonality, the model is further extended to consider the stochastic demand. The stochastic model is formulated as a two-stage stochastic programming problem. A real data based on the Trans-Pacific routing network was used to test the proposed models. A sensitivity analysis was performed to know how several important parameters affected the solution.
