| Summary: | 碩士 === 國立高雄第一科技大學 === 運籌管理所 === 98 === How to maintain the stable price of agriculture product is a question of policymaker that relative to producer and consumer who can get the reasonable revenue and pay less money with the same thing. In Taiwan market, agricultural product usually traded by many agents and channels from farm to retail market. Which channel lead the price in these markets and how to transmission? We also want to know the situation of different area and product whether interact the price efficiency in each market or not. This study applied VAR model to analyze four vegetables and the research range among farm, wholesale, and retail price. In the retail market, this study separated from Kaohsiung retail market and Taipei retail market for compare with price efficiency. The purpose of this thesis is to investigate the price transmission and efficiency.
The results of price transmission are different with four vegetables. It significant show to wholesales market still have not developed very well. The other result show to Kaohsiung retail market efficiency always stayed behind position. The Taipei retail market present to feedback relation with each market that performance is superiority to Kaohsiung retail market.
Agricultural is the basic of our life, but the current policies are indicated industrial orientation. According to this study reflection of price efficiency between Kaohsiung and Taipei, most of vegetables are planted in the south of Taiwan but the price efficiency is the worst then Taipei retail market. The price fluctuation of retail is the greater of farm price that can’t reduce market margin. For these reasons, how to reduce the margin in each market is the important topic in our government. I hope this study can provide an idea that can improve market transaction of agricultural products.
