Description
Summary:碩士 === 國立高雄第一科技大學 === 行銷與流通管理所 === 98 === Many enterprises have adopted ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) system since 1990s. The purpose of ERP for companies is to integrate internal departments intensively in order to maximize and allocate resources effectively by using computer information technology. Therefore, both manufacturers and service industries aggressively adopt ERP. However, employee resistance to using the new technology remains one of the major challenges for ERP implementations. In this study, we explore how interactions among employees influence their attitude towards the use of ERP system. The results show that the interaction among employees negatively intervenes with perceived information quality and attitude. This applies particularly to individuals who interact with many colleagues, and those who link relationships between other colleagues. The reasons behind these findings are discussed. This research shows that employee attitude is crucial for successful implementation of ERP systems, and that structural positions can play a major role in attitude formation. This paper offers suggestions on how to improve employee attitude towards new IT technologies to enhance the success of ERP implementations.
