Summary:碩士 === 高雄師範大學 === 工業科技教育學系 === 98 === The study aimed to understand job satisfaction of the elementary school teachers in Science and Technology filed in Kaohsiung County; and to compare the difference made by variables of personal and working background to the job satisfaction. This study adopted questionnaire investigation method. The subjects of this study were elementary school teachers who mainly teach the Science and Technology field in Kaohsiung County. And the author used self-compiled survey “Questionnaire for the job satisfaction of the elementary school teachers in Science and Technology field.” as a tool of research. The total number of delivering questionnaires was 432; and the number of returned questionnaires was 420. Furthermore, the return rate reached to 97.22%. The effective returned questionnaires were 406 copies, and the availability rate was 96.66%. The data collected from the questionnaires were analyzed by several statistics methods, such as mean, standard deviation, frequency distribution, t-test, one-way ANOVA. According to the finding of the study, the author made the conclusions as follows: 1. The mean of overall job satisfaction of elementary school teachers in Science and Technology filed in Kaohsiung County was 3.64 points. It meant the overall job satisfaction reached to “middle- high” level. 2. The order of average scores of the aspects of satisfaction from high to low was: interpersonal relationship aspect, work itself aspect, working compensation aspect, school administration, further education of profession, working environment. 3. The overall job satisfaction had significant difference because of different variables of personal background, such as educational degree, professional background. The teachers who were graduated from further education and associated science or technology or math departments have higher level of job satisfaction. 4. The overall job satisfaction had significant difference because of different variables of working background, such as teachers with administrative position. And the teachers had to teach other fields or not; the teachers had to guide the science exhibition or not. Finally, the reasons why they being the teachers in the field has influence on the overall job satisfaction. The teachers who served as school administrative directors, guided science exhibition had higher level of job satisfaction. And the teachers who had interest and profession as well as who not only had interest and profession but also got the permission from the school had higher level of job satisfaction.
