Summary:碩士 === 高雄師範大學 === 工業科技教育學系 === 98 === This research uses a newly-appointed elementary school principal as a case study object. From the life story and career development progress of the principal, the researcher tries to trace back the principal’s character and the elements which affect his self-awareness. From this case story, we will provide a sample for the similar researches and a learning object. This is a qualitative research by using article collection, observation, the interview of the principal, the interview of the peer principal, and the articles issued by the case object. By coding these data, and using the feedback from the case object and the method of triangulation, this will increase the research’s credibility and effectiveness. After analyzing the data, the conclusions are obtained from this research as follows: 1.The poor life of the principal’s original family makes him to learn how to counter the hardship. 2.The principal’s father has become one of his significant others and his model. 3.Responsibility and self-discipline were brought to him after forming his own family. 4.The principal is nourished and looked up by the significant others. His contribution has finally been recognized. 5.The key issues make the principal accept himself, study hard, and have the ability to endure sufferings and hardships. 6.The principal has gone through the rich and diverse life experience, and established the vertical and horizontal connections. 7.The age of the case object principal will not affect his manners and maturity. 8.According to the principal’s successful leadership, some elements for the successful leaders are categorized. Finally, based on the conclusions, some suggestions are made for the fellow teachers who are planned to be principals, and some can become references for the latter researchers.
