Summary:碩士 === 高雄師範大學 === 工業科技教育學系 === 98 === The purpose of this study was to understand the current status of literacy competency of living technology that senior high school students possessed in Kaohsiung City by means of questionnaires,and furthermore,to discuss the differences students performed in their diverse backgrounds and in each dimension and category.Students who were subjects in the research were the senior high school students in Kaohsiung City.The research used both stratified and random cluster sampling methods which resulted in the collection of 393 valid responses to the questionnaires from 4 senior high schools. Post statistical data-analysis tools used were listed as below: 1.Descriptive Statistics, 2.t-test, 3.One-variable ANOVA, 4.scheffe post-hoc comparison and analysis. The results of the study showed: 1.The overall literacy competency of living technology that senior high school students possessed was somewhat deficient and needed improvement. 2.Of the four dimensions and categories,the literacy competency of energy power and transportation technology and construction technology that high school students in Kaohsiung City possessed was least sufficient and was needed special improvement. 3.High school students in Kaohsiung City showed significant differences in the overall literacy competency of living technology according to different genders,grades,sections in schools,the size of the student population of schools, and the social-economic status of parents. (1)Genders: The boys were superior to the girls. (2)Grades: Students at the third grade did better than those at the second grade. (3)Sections in schools: Students of natural science section performed better than those of social science section. (4)The size of the student population of schools: Students at large-sized schools did better than those at middle-sized schools. (5)The social-economic status of parents: Students whose parents were considered to be in the middle-low class did better than those in the middle and middle-high class. 4.High school students in Kaohsiung City showed significant differences in the literacy competency of production technology and energy power and transportation technology based on different genders,grades,sections in schools and the methods of acquiring information. (1)Genders: The boys were superior to the girls in the production technology. (2)Grades: Students at the third grade possessed better competency than those at the second grade in the production technology and energy power and transportation technology. (3)Sections in schools: Students of natural science section performed better than those of social science section in the production technology and energy power and ansportation technology. (4)Methods of acquiring information: It helps to promote the literacy competency of production technology and energy power and transportation technology to use computers or surf the Internet for two hours and within two to four hours every day. 5.Students of different social-economic status of students’parents appeared significant differences in the production technology, and students whose parents were considered to be in the middle-low class were superior to those in the middle class. 6.Students of different size of schools showed significant differences in the energy power and transportation technology,and students at large-sized schools did better than those at middle-sized schools.
