Description
Summary:碩士 === 高雄師範大學 === 聽力學與語言治療研究所 === 98 === This study aimed at two goals. The first one was to investigate the voice health status of school teachers in the elementary and junior high school and the use of microphones. The second one was to explore the relationship between the microphone use and the voice quality of teachers, which is defined in two ways, one was the scores of VHI-10 used, and the other was acoustic parameters in MDVP(Kay Elemetrics). There were 650 teachers of the junior high schools and elementary schools in Kaohsiung City recruited in the study to answer the questionnaires. The number of the valid samples received was 541; the study response rate was 83.23%. The results showed that the teachers who were women, being above fifty years old, having 30 or more years of instruction, having a family history of voice disorders, and having weekely teaching hours more than 26 hours were more likely suffered from the voice problems. There were 439 teachers(81.1%)used microphone during teaching, and most microphones were bought by the teacher themselves(72%). The majority of the teachers agree the use of microphone . Another part of this study, there were 33 teachers choose from the participants of questionnaire who used microphone frequently , and 33 teachers who used microphone rarely. Their voice samples were analyzed by using MDVP program. The results indicated that the group with high frequency use of microphone had significant lower value in 7 variables of MDVP(Jitter、Shimmer、NHR、PPQ 、RAP、APQ、DSH). It suggested that the voice quality of the teachers with high frequency use of microphone were better than that of low frequency use of microphone. The use of microphone may be associated with the better voice quality of teachers.
