Simply, pump is a tool transmits liquid from one place to another or a tool creates the liquid pressure to a certain degree. Most of the time, the transmitted liquids are water, oil, emulsion and liquid metals. It is also available to deliver liquid, gas mixture and liquids with suspended solids Pump was used to transmit water during early days. Now it becomes the most widely, popularly used device in the national economic. Except applying to water, electricity, agriculture and mine, etc, it also be applied to the petroleum industry, chemical industry, paper industry , the textile industry, rubber industry, food industry, steel industry and other industrial applications. Thus, pump has become the basic and indispensable equipment for daily life and various industries. It is often to judge a country’s industrial level by its technology of using pump. Patent is for inspiring a new direction of research and development. Thus, through analyzing the number of pump patents in various countries, the researcher analyzes the proportion of the market share and the importance of pumps. From observing the literature, we know the main evolution model of hydraulic pressure applied to machinery in the past 30 years. The average pressure of every industry increases 1.5 to 3 times. Therefore, to effectively improve the high effectiveness, high pressure, and high efficiency pumps is an important design trend in the future.
