Description
Summary:碩士 === 國立台北護理學院 === 旅遊健康研究所 === 98 === Cycling around Taiwan has becoming a popular activity, but little attention has been given to the female cyclists’ experensce. Or the studies were focus on the group tour activity. It doesn’t talk about the individual differences in women. This study use qualitative research as the methodology. In order to understand the female cyclists who ride bicycles to circle around Taiwan and significance of their journey. There are two ways to collect the data of this qualitative study for data analysis. First, researcher interview 7 females who cycled around Taiwan by herself. And the interaction between participants and researcher has been recorded. Second, researcher read the articles in blogs which were written by these female cyclists. We have a discussion in more depth by timeline, starting by the reason of cycling around Taiwan, the personalty of the participants, women’s self-liberation during the cycling trip, then talking about the desire and contradiction between away from home/back to home. And then, researcher brings out the meaing of travel that is different from the traditional concept of self-realization and. It seems reasonable to conclude that there are three meanings to these female cyclists: pursuit the ideal self in their mind, generate courage by traveling alone, find the way of the approach-avoidance conflict. In the end of this study that’s the researcher's reflection, takes the research’s point of view to review self and other as the final chapter and disscuss the relationships between researcher and participants. These 7 female cyclists appeared as a distinct appearance between their self-disclosure of front-stage and back-stage; it’s no longer like the existing concept which" internet as the back-stage that you can hide". Use researcher’s point of view and apply Johari window concept to investigate the true self of the 7 female cyclists who ride bicycles to circle around Taiwan by herself.
