Summary:碩士 === 國立臺中教育大學 === 社會科教育學系碩士班 === 98 === The purpose of this research was to investigate the life adaptation of the foreign family nursing laborers in Taiwan ; subjects were the Indonesia nursing laborers working in Taiwan. The study adopted in-depth interviews of qualitative research to understand the obstacles the subjects encountered in adapting their life to Taiwan according to the description of their self-experience. The purpose of this study was to: (1) Understand the factors which influenced the foreign family nursing laborers’ life adaptation; the factors were discussed in several aspects, including culture, work, interpersonal interaction, self- concept and so on . (2) Understand the difficulty or problem the foreign family nursing laborers encountered in the adaptation process. (3) Understand the solutions the foreign family nursing laborers found to conquer the obstacles they encountered. (4) Hopefully stir people’s awareness of the foreign family nursing laborers’ problems in adapting their lifes, as well as to provide the government with reference to its regulatory policy. The conclusions of this study were as follows: (1) The foreign family nursing laborers’ cultural adaptation were divided into 5 aspects: religious belief, habits and customs, eating habits, values and language learning. (2) The foreign family nursing laborers’ work adaptation were discussed according to the practical working situation, difficulties in the work, the support to their work and the solutions to their difficulties. (3) The foreign family nursing laborers’ interpersonal relationship included their relationship with their employer, the nursed ones, the job-related people, the public and their friends, etc. (4) The foreign family nursing laborers’ self-concept was described in their mood condition, self-growth, self-satisfaction and their future plans. (5) The foreign family nursing laborers’ cognition of regulatory policy was divided into : understanding of work regulations, training before coming to Taiwan, feeling towards quarantine measures and approval of intermediary service fee.
