The focuses of this study were to describe the content of the blog, influences on students’ music learning, challenges students, music teacher and technology teacher encountered, as well as students, parents, technology teacher and other teachers’ comments on blog used in music teaching. The study is a case study with single case design and the majority of research data are qualitative and minor quantitative data are included. The approach of purposeful and convenient sampling was used to invite a sixth grade class (n=28) from one of elementary schools in Taichung City to participate in this study. The researcher was the classroom teacher and taught general music in the class. Technology teacher was invited to be the collaborative teacher. The boundary of this study is the Fall semester in 2009 academic year. “Music Appreciation Achievement Test” developed by the researcher was the instrument for pre- and post-test. Paired t-test was used to examine students’ music learning progress. The qualitative data including the content of blog, interviews, researcher’s field notes, and student worksheets were analyzed with NVivo. The approaches of triangulations and member checking were used to increase validity and reliability of data. Conclusions of this study are the Blog utilized into general music class can (1) enhance students’ critical thinking; (2) with strategies of group collaborative learning, promote students’ music learning; (3) facilitate a social interaction between and among parents, teachers and students, and then increase students’ positive learning attitude; (4) present interdisciplinary integration between Technology Area and Arts and Humanities Area; (5) increase parent-students’ interaction and help parents know what students learned in schools; (6) provide immediate feedback to students without limitations of time and space; and (7) build the BLOG theory.
