Description
Summary:碩士 === 國立臺中教育大學 === 音樂學系碩士班 === 98 === In the history of music, Antonín Dvořák is not only heir to nationalists in Bohemian music, but also one who promotes national music. Nationality is the most important essence in the music of Dvořák. Because of Dvorak’s strong will towards his own country, multiple visits to United Kingdom and Russia, and teaching in America; these events helped make his music full nationality and exoticism. "Concerto for Violoncello and Orchestra in B minor, Opus 104" is a great composition in the American period because it unifies the melody of African-American spirituals and the rhythm of Bohemia dances. This concerto even until now has been one of the most aesthetic works in the standard cello repertoire.
