Summary: | 碩士 === 國立臺中教育大學 === 特殊教育學系碩士班 === 98 === The purpose of this study is to explore the effective factors of the assistive technology used situation and barriers in early intervention institution in Taichung City. We use qualitative research, aimed at teachers, therapists, agency personnel, and parents, the composition of the focus groups, through the data collection methods of interviews, document analysis, field observation, after a comprehensive collation and analysis process, the results obtained are as follows:
1. Early treatment and education institutions to complement the current state of technology usage
(1) The factors of the assistive technology intervention in early intervention institution:
Including the information, equipment, values, career, experience, background knowledge, efficiency, policy, laws, etc.
(2) The values of assistive technology to different people in early intervention :
different people are all positive the importance of assistive technology, but the people of other early intervention units are remain unknown.
(3) Provision of assistive technology services in early intervention:
Including 17 services, consultation, evaluation, assessment form, training, follow-up, etc.
(4) Service delivery model:
The current model is inter-discipline service, is heading towards a multi-disciplinary team of service delivery model.
(5) Service delivery processes:
The standard processes of delivery is not yet complete, but it can sketch the basic process.
2. The parents perceived early intervention Assistive Technology
(1) Parents perceived early intervention Assistive Technology:
The parents are multiple diversity, and the views of assistive technology also show multiple views. They need the continuing professional assistance and advocacy.
Parents should be involved in the assessment process more.
3. The barriers of the AT intervention in early intervention institution
(1) The barriers of the AT intervention in early intervention institution:
There are nine barriers, including cognition, policies, service processes, equipment, funding, professional, space, institutions, and early intervention stage.
4. Suggestion:
From early intervention institution, government department, and hospital, provide recommendations.
Finally, we expect this study can provide the reference of the use of assistive technologies in early intervention institution.
