Summary: | 碩士 === 國立臺中教育大學 === 數學教育學系 === 98 === The study was undertaken to explore the sixth-grade students’ angle concept and level of geometry thinking influenced by “Logo Program Assisted Course about Angle Concept Learning”.
This study was adopted the equal-sample-post-only design of quasi-experimental research to investigate 33 sixth-grade students from a elementary school in Changhua County, and the course had been practiced in remedial teaching method. Before practicing the Logo course teaching, the target group had a pre-test. Further, the duration of the teaching was 10 weeks and one times a week. The total was 10 classes.
In this study, De-Bang Wu (2008,2009), National Science Council grant research projects (project name: The van Hiele theory based on the integration of computer Logo programming constructs, elementary geometry digital learning tools and environment, project number: NSC98-2511-S-142-004-M. And the name of the project: through the Logo environment, elementary school students to learn high-level training geometry thinking and problem solving skills - the view from the van Hiele theory, this project is: NSC97- 2511- S- 142- 006 ) is part of the research results.
The data analysis results were as follows:
1. The number of the students, who arrived at geometric thinking level 2 and 3 developed by van Hiele, was increased. Yet, the number of students in level 1 was remained.
2. After having the Logo course, pupils had significant progress in angle concept test performance. Additionally, Students at all levels also greatly advanced after the teaching.
3. van Hiele geometry test score and corner test score into the concept of significant positive correlation, indicating the level of children's geometric thinking level understanding of the concept for its angle has some influence.
In conclusion, this research has brought up some suggestions to provide reference materials about polygon concept teaching for further study.
