碩士 === 國立臺南大學 === 數位學習科技學系碩士班 === 98 === The purpose of this thesis is mainly focused on the investigation of junior high school student’s parent for computer and internet by using multidimensional scaling (MDS). Based on the studied results, it can be provided to teachers and parents for reference of management of computer and internet for junior high school students. For this purpose, we have to calculate the average values of points from these questionnaires of 203 parents first, and then input the data into SPSS for getring the distance, and put the distance values into SAS MDS procedure to get the coordinates of the nodes, so that, the 2 dimension space graph will be finished in this way. Moreover, we can depend on the figures of MDS graph for parents with different properties and vectors for different attitudes to get the angels of each attitude. According to the result, it shows that most parents are worried about the phenomenon of making friends on internet for their children who hope teachers could teach their students the right and safe methods or knowledge on making friends on internet. Most parents think computer and internet is a convenient tool while it colud be easily addicted to as well. Because of this, appropriate scheduling is adopted by most parents. By MDS, we can find the attitude of making friends on internet for parents below 35 is stronger, while parents above 56 take more concerns and understandings about how the students use the computer and internet which have positive effects on it. Fathers pay more attention to the positive effects on computer and internet, while mothers concern about the importances on taking care of and understanding what their children are thinking of, and want to have certain dicipline of them. The attitudes of parents graduated from elementary school or junior high school have great differences from others, we can find the higher the educational background is, the more obvious the difference is. Many of the attitudes of householders are much stronger. The attitudes of focusing on working are similar to those on school work. The longer people use each time, the stronger most of the attitudes are. The shorter period of time people use the internet, the attitude of thinking that making friends on internet is dangerous would be stronger, but the parents who use the internet for a time have the stronger attitude to actively dealing with making friends on internet.
