Summary:碩士 === 國立臺灣師範大學 === 特殊教育學系在職進修碩士班 === 98 === Abstract This research paper investigated the special education-related administrative filed in a junior high school in a remote area of Taipei County. The researcher carried out a series of research methods including in-depth interview, observation and participation in the administrative settings in the attempt to investigate the managerial dilemma that the school encountered. The interview adopted semi-structure style as well as the personal-involvement observation. It was hoped that through the all-direction study, the researcher could make the research reality reappear in an authentic way. There were nine participants including parents, school staff and special education-related personnel participating in this study. They were persons who had experience in special-education curriculum, students or qualified teachers. This study attempted to reveal the administrative perplexities that the special education school in the remote district could encounter, and to propose feasible solutions to the following problems: the difficulties of the current administrative works, the cultivation of the administrators, the ideal image of the special education administration and the expectation and the cognition of the related personnel in the field…etc. The researcher expected to offer a referential model for the special education field. This research observed a number of administrative shortfalls in the special education particularly in the remote area, such as the limited filed of vision and the deficiency in communication among the staff, unstable managerial structure, lack of elaborated administrative procedures and the general discrimination of the special education. The researcher presumed that a positive notion and recognition of team effort in special education, and a thorough interpersonal communication as well as the active involvement in this specialized filed would help to ameliorate the situations. This study suggested that the parents should be encouraged to strive for the best interest of their kids and to participate actively in the school affairs for the long –term benefits, specially for those kids in need. It is also recommended that the school should establish an ideal structure that could superintend the stability of the teachers and the quality of the communication.
