How to protect the rain leakage to the building is an important topic, especially in the roof part. In the old time, people build the roof surface with the slope angle which is the directly and effective way to drain out the rainwater. Until now, the roof should be used in multi-function, such as installing the meter box, water tower, lighting rod, anthenna and other facilities on the roof which should be inspected and maintained in regular of time. And also, the roof can be used for evacuation platform which provided for emergency escaped. Therefore, the flat roof is trended in modern architecture, especially for the condominium and office buildings. Taiwan is an island climate, rainy, humid, a lot of typhoon in the summer season, and frequently earthquakes. Those elements could affect the waterproofing on the roof enormous. Therefore, the roof should be prevented the water leakage, which can affect user inconvenient and reduce the building life. To avoid this situation happened, we should start from the design, material, construction and maintenance…etc, and discussing the reason of water leakage to figure out the solving way. Now, the general concept of maintaining roof waterproofing is still remaining after the waterproofing completed. This article is suggested that should be carried out before the waterproofing which is starting from the top structure on the roof. The second is that should be focused on the weephole, end of drainage part, connection part, rough floor ...etc during the waterproofing construction and well-done on the place which is easily to leaking. The final is that should be arranged daily and regular time schedule for maintaining , using visual check the damage equipment on the top of roofing layer after the waterproofing construction. Do not change the roof design and add illegal building to increase the force and damage the waterproofing layer. Do not knock, nail and drilling the floor to damage the waterproofing layer.The main theme on this research paper ii is discussing the maintenance of non-exposed type of RC flat roof waterproofing, providing and explaining the attention items during the beginning, the middle and the end of the roof waterproofing construction, which reference can be using on the future waterproofing on the new roof and reduce the leakage.
