Summary: | 碩士 === 國立臺灣海洋大學 === 電機工程學系 === 98 === The aim of this thesis is to study the dynamic behaviors of emergency diesel generators in the power plan with emphasis placed on the analysis of voltage and frequency variations of the generators under full loading when some fault occurs on the load bus. Some loads will exert more impact on the system since their capacities are relative large as compared to the system capacity. Therefore, detailed investigations should be done during design stage to avoid system possible instability in future. In this thesis, a sample system with three clusters of emergency diesel generators is adopted as the study system. The responses of cluster buses under different clearing times when a three-phase short circuit fault occurs at each critical load are observed and the critical clearing times are thus obtained for the analysis of transient stability.
Due to the performance of emergency diesel generator is less than the mian generator. The ratio of loading to system performance will raise. Its dynamic behavior will have more influence on voltage and frequency. In order to avoid the unstable situation, the dynamic changes should be analyzed at the beginning of design. Besides, it can take the power plant for instance to simulate, analyze and then provide the suggestion to avoid the unexpected situation.
