Description
Summary:碩士 === 國立臺北教育大學 === 幼兒與家庭教育學系碩士班 === 98 === Abstract The purpose of this study is to explore the kindergarten teachers’ curriculum design of applying interactive whiteboard to the teaching of number concepts, the process of implantation, the teacher-student interactions during teaching sessions, children’s learning effectiveness, the problems the teacher had encountered in the process of teaching actions, and the solutions to these problems. This study is an action study with the research duration being 9 months. The data had been retrieved from video tapes, the teacher’s self-examination for teaching, the children’s learning list, the interviews with the children, the conversation between the researcher and the collaborative teacher, and their introspection. Then the data were organized and analyzed. The obtained conclusions are listed below: 1. The aspects to be considered for the teacher to apply interactive whiteboard to the teaching of number concepts should include design philosophy of teaching materials for number concepts, children’s interest in learning, and functions of white board. And the relationships between these three aspects should also be considered. 2. The design and planning for the content of each curriculum unit should be based on the existing unit structure in order to conform with the content of number concepts to be taught to children. Then the next thing to be considered is how to meet children’s demands in learning. The content to be taught should be enriched before proper functions of interactive whiteboard are implemented. 3. The teaching with interactive whiteboard should be conducted step by step. Children must first learn the basic ability to operate the interactive whiteboard. Then the teacher will be able to teach with efficiency. 4. The interactive whiteboard can be applied to the teaching activities including the oral or physical communications and contacts between teachers and students or between students and students, and the interaction between teachers, students, and technology. 5. Applying interactive whiteboard to the teaching activities of number concepts can effectively encourage children to offer each other opinions and collaborate with each other. 6. Applying interactive whiteboard to the teaching activities of number concepts for children has a positive influence on children’s learning achievements. This fact is found by analyzing the pre-test and post-test of the test of math ability for children, children’s learning lists, and the records of interviews with children. 7. Interactive whiteboard can be applied to the problems encountered during teaching activities, including the teacher’ and students’ familiarity with the functions of the interactive whiteboard, the teacher’s ability to design teaching materials for number concepts, and children’s problems in learning. 8. The factors which influence the change of the teacher’s teaching strategies include the familiarity with the functions of the interactive whiteboard, the teacher’s self-examination, and children’s feedback. 9. In the research process, the researcher and the teacher had been through the process of designing the teaching materials, implementation in teaching, and discussions. There was a positive influence on the improvement of their professional knowledge. According to the conclusions of this study, the researcher provided some suggestions in three aspects, including applying interactive whiteboard to teaching, teaching of number concepts for children, and follow-up researches, as the references for future researches.
