Description
Summary:碩士 === 國立臺東大學 === 幼兒教育學系碩士班 === 100 === This study aims to probe into the effects of five-year-old children’s learning characters by the skill of radical inference with multimedia learning system, trying to analyze how linguistic competence and socioeconomic background influence children’s ability of leaning characters. This is a quasi-experimental research in non equivalent pretest-posttest design. The subjects are 148 children over 5 years old from public kindergartens in northern, middle and southern Taiwan. Those in “radical-character group” were taught with multimedia radical-character teaching strategy; those in “picture-text group” were taught with multimedia picture-text teaching strategy while those in “animation group” were taught with multimedia animation teaching strategy. The children's performances were investigated before and after the experiment. The result showed that, first, the application of radical to multimedia learning system is able to efficiently enhance children’s competence of radical inference in learning characters. Second, animation teaching strategy worked the best in children’s learning. Third, the efficiency of learning is better in the children with high linguistic competence than those with low linguistic competence. Fourth, there is no significant different of learning efficiency among children in different socioeconomic backgrounds. Fifth, there is no significant different of learning efficiency among children with different linguistic competences and socioeconomic backgrounds. Sixth, there is obvious progress in children’s learning transformed radical and radical related to human body parts by animation teaching strategy. There are some suggestions based on the result of this study proposed for future research.
