Summary:碩士 === 國立臺東大學 === 身心整合與運動休閒管理學系 === 98 === The purpose of this study was to explore the relationships between personality traits, leisure participation and academic achievement among the vocational senior high school students. The researcher takes the method of survey. The object of study (N=350) was the students in the school where the researcher works. The personality questionnaire consists of 5 aspects: Neuroticism, Extraversion, Openness, Agreeableness, and Conscientiousness. The leisure participation questionnaire consists of 5 aspects: Internet leisure, Self-enrichment, Sport, Social contact, and Audio video sense. The academic achievement adopted the grades of Chinese, English and mathematics in the first semester of the 98 school year. The collected dates were analyzed by SPSS and LISREL software. The results were as follow: 1. the personality trait have significant positive influence on leisure participation. 2. There is a significant position correlation between personality traits and academic achievement. 3. There is a significant negative relation between leisure participation and academic achievement.
