What content of character education in the 7-grade Chinese literature textbooks?What character values is the 7-grade Chinese literature textbooks need to transmit? All Be worth inquiring into, analytical subject. This research adopts content analysis method. The subjects of this research were 7-grade Chinese literature textbooks of Nanyi version, Kanshen version and Hanlin version.versions published between the 97-98 years. The research concludes below: I. General analysis The 7-grade Chinese literature textbooks have a high proportion of character education related contents, "others and one's self" is the most seen main category, the most seen topic in the subcategory is the "fortitude."In the 27 sub-categories have three subcategories not seen in all three versions. II. Comparison and analysis across all versions The textbooks of Hanlin version and Nanyi version have the same order of the main categories while those of Kanshen version is different from them,among the textbook of Nanyi version has a relatively even distribution across all main categories. The subcategories in the three versions share a relative consistency, but the"Generosity" is only seen in the textbooks of Kanshen verion. III. Comparison and analysis on the volume I and II of the 7-grade textbooks across the three versions There are differences across versions on the arrangement of the subcategories in volumes of 7-grade textbook,but the seven subcategories of "self-discipline" are the most seen in the two volumes across all three versions. Volume I of the 7-grade textbook of Kanshen version have more subcategories, and Volume II of the 7-grade textbooks of Hanlin version and Nanyi version both have more subcategories. In addition, The volume I and II of the 7-grade textbooks across the three versions emphasizes more on "others and one's self", only the 7-grade textbook of Kanshen version emphasizes more on "men and others." VI. The comparison and analysis of the types of the units across all ersions The units of all three versions all emphasizes on one or two main categories,but all three versions have relatively more units of subcategories illustrating the philosophy of life. In the three versions, volume I of the 7-grade Kanshen version textbook has the most units that contains subcategories.
