The main method was in-depth interview with qualitative analysis. The participants of this study were three volunteers from Taitung Life-Line which is one of the major crisis intervention service organizations in Taiwan. After four hour long individual interviews verbatim transcripts were produced, and the transcripts were sent back to the participants for verification. Then, interview data were analyzed to draw out the ideas of volunteers about the volunteer service works and the effects of these volunteer service experiences on them.
