Description
Summary:碩士 === 臺灣大學 === 土木工程學研究所 === 98 === Vietnam construction projects are facing many delays and cost overruns. The causes of the delays and overruns are mostly design related problems. These problems could be resolved by a better design management that integrates product design and process design. However, there are some significant barriers making the integration in effective. Therefore, an effective framework consisting of organizing principles and techniques is needed to facilitate the design integration. Work Structuring is a module in Lean Project Delivery System developed by Lean Construction Institute. The module enhances the development of operation and process design in alignment with product design. In this research, a questionnaire survey and in – depth interview were used to investigate the feasibility of applying Work Structuring to construction projects in Vietnam. The purpose of this thesis is to explore the possibility of applying Work Structuring into Vietnam construction projects. Meanwhile the possible problems and potential solutions for transferring Work Structuring ideas that are originally developed by Lean Construction Institute into construction practice in Vietnam will be presented.
